Data Export & Departure Policy

This policy explains how your organization can export your data from BOMSync during an active subscription and during the 30-day Export Window after cancellation or termination. It supplements Section 9.6 of the Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control.

1. Plain-language summary

• You own your Customer Data. BOMSync does not sell it or use it to train models on your confidential project content without agreement.
• During your subscription, export when you need to — subject to your plan and the export tools BOMSync makes available.
• After termination, you have 30 days of read-only export access to retrieve your data. You cannot keep using BOMSync for day-to-day work during that window — only to download exports.
• We provide business-friendly exports (CSV, Excel, organized file packages, and approved read-only APIs) — not raw database dumps or copies of BOMSync's software, schemas, or algorithms.
• Need help? Self-service export is included in the Export Window. Hands-on migration assistance is available as a paid professional service when scope exceeds self-service tools.

2. When export access is available

Authorized Users who had export permissions before termination may use export tools during the Export Window unless BOMSync suspends access for unpaid fees or abusive export activity.

3. What you can export (self-service)

3.1 Tabular exports (CSV and Excel)

BOMSync provides spreadsheet exports for major business lists and operational records, including examples such as:

• Clients and contacts
• Projects and programs
• Drawings and document registers
• Bills of materials and item catalogs
• Procurement records (RFQs, quotes, orders)
• Work orders and operational history (as available on your plan)

Human-readable references. Related records appear as business labels you recognize — project codes and names, vendor names, document titles, status labels — rather than internal numeric database keys. This helps your team use exports in accounting, archival, and downstream tools without exposing BOMSync's internal schema.

Not included: full-fidelity replication of every table, view, stored procedure, or historical audit row in the tenant database.

3.2 File and collateral exports (blob storage)

Customer-uploaded and Customer-generated files stored in BOMSync — model attachments, PDFs, images, exports, and similar non-database collateral — can be downloaded in organized folder structures that mirror your project and document hierarchy where the product supports it.

Use this path for backup of files you uploaded or that BOMSync generated for your organization, not for BOMSync platform code or report template intellectual property.

3.3 Export-ready APIs (read-only)

BOMSync is building a published export-ready API catalog — read-only API operations approved for departure and integration use. Until an operation appears in that catalog for your plan, programmatic export via API for that dataset is not guaranteed. Your administrators will see catalog updates in product documentation and release notes.

4. What we do not provide

To protect all customers and BOMSync intellectual property, the following are out of scope for standard export (unless a separate written agreement and fees apply):

• Raw SQL database dumps or backup files of the tenant database
• Schema definitions, ERDs, or copies of BOMSync data models
• Bulk export of internal identifiers intended to clone BOMSync's application logic or user interface
• Unlimited parallel export jobs that impair Service performance for other customers

5. Personal Data and the DPA

Where BOMSync processes Personal Data on your behalf, export and deletion during the Export Window follow Section 13 of the Data Processing Addendum as well as Section 9.6 of the Terms.

6. Assisted export and offboarding (professional services)

Self-service export during the Export Window is included with your subscription — no separate fee for standard CSV/Excel downloads, supported blob packages, and catalog-listed read-only API calls within reasonable rate limits.

When you need BOMSync staff to plan, execute, or validate a complex departure — for example very large blob volumes, custom mappings, phased cutover, or attestations for an enterprise procurement process — we deliver that work under a statement of work or professional services agreement. Fees depend on scope, timing, and data volume.

6.1 Typical industry pricing (reference only)

These ranges reflect common B2B SaaS professional-services practice. Your quote may differ. BOMSync does not publish fixed list prices for assisted offboarding.

7. Certificate of deletion

If you request a certificate of deletion in writing during the Export Window, BOMSync will confirm when Customer Data has been deleted from production systems in accordance with Section 9.6 of the Terms.

8. Tips for a smooth departure

1. Start early — begin exports well before day 30; large blob packages may take time to assemble.
2. Assign an owner — one Authorized User should track export completeness against your internal checklist.
3. Verify samples — open CSV/Excel files and spot-check file packages before the window closes.
4. Order assisted help early — professional services need lead time; do not wait until the last week of the Export Window.
5. Separate concerns — tabular exports carry business records; blob exports carry files; use both where your retention policy requires.
